Social Pedagogy

BREAK

Dates for the Social Pedagogy course are being arranged for September/October.  Call back to this site soon or contact Thure on 0116 2234 254 to reserve your place. Come and enjoy the course that a delegate has previously described as the best training she ever went on.  This all-day workshop will focus on group work and act as an introduction to a few main theories and models from the continental approach of Social Pedagogy, which is gaining great momentum in the UK social care sector as a tool for reflection and practice improvement.  With the Centre’s background and specialisation in group work, we have developed a course which will map out the process of group development and use Social Pedagogy and Tuckman’s Stages of Group Development as the compass for the journey. Utilising Mount Everest as an analogy for the ultimate goal of achieving the wanted progress, this is a day which enables practitioners who practice in group work of any kind to reflect on this process and learn more about the challenges and opportunities that Social Pedagogy as an approach can offer in this work. Delegate fee: £99 (includes lunch)
